The Massachusetts Legislature’s inability to roll back last year’s disastrous alcohol and sales tax hikes will leave the state in an even more precarious economic situation (“GOP: Dem cowards KO vote to repeal alcohol, sales taxes,” April 28).

Already businesses have been hurt, a tax-hike supporting legislator has been caught shopping over the border and taxpayers have had to cut even more from their families’ budgets. The state could have fixed these problems, but instead the Bay State will have to deal with more of the same big-spending, high-taxing policies.
