Why Gun Control Won't Prevent Another School Shooting (video)

Mass shooters always pick target locations where they know victims cannot fight back, says gun control expert John Lott in this CNN interview with Soledad O'Brien in response to Friday's Connecticut school shooting. 

As the nation knows, a 20-year-old gunman killed 28 people that day, 20 of them 6- and 7-year-old school children. Grieving families have begun holding funerals for their small children today. 

School Reform News and Heartland Institute staff join the nation and the bereaved in sorrow at these evil acts. 

Policy makers immediately responded to the tragedy with calls for new laws limiting gun ownership. Lott, a friend of Heartland, explains from his research why stripping people of the ability to defend themselves and innocent children will not prevent future acts of horror.
